THE MYSTIC
It is 1983, two years since she killed the murders of her family, and the demons of her past have long since been locked away by Lady Jacquelyne Van Dyne. The girl has turned into a beautiful, twenty year old, young woman, who is mature far beyond her years.
She is in the second year of her university law degree and enjoying a well welcomed summer break in her Leicestershire home. Rearch into her family tree turns up a mysterious book which causes concern in others.
When a girl goes missing and a museum is broken into in an unusual fog, the events are apparently unconnected and seemingly nothing to do with her. Yet when she is caught in another heavy fog herself she discovers a blood stained scarf and is drawn into the baffling police enquiry that somehow is connected to her father .
Slowly she is drawn into the intrigue and events that surround the mysterious book and its connections to the fall of the Knights Templar in 1307. Can it be true that her ancestors were connected to that very event? Once again those about her are hurt and eventually the realisation comes that she is bound to the events no matter how she tries to avoid it.
After more deaths she finally unlocks the past and takes up her weapons again to pursue the evil that surrounds her.
Here she learns that magic is real and that her hate for the magic is only surpassed by her hate for the man that will eventually become her long time nemesis.
The book, of course, reaches and exciting conclusion on a traditionally dark and stormy night in a remote Scottish castle that will forever change her life.
